It's been awhile. I've been thinking about writing on here again for a couple months now, but I just can't find the time. In fact, I still can't. But I figured since tomorrows Friday, I would try to update you guys on some stuff.
Let's go back in time to the summer. I started TNU and celebrated my channel's 2nd anniversary. Not much to say that I can remember there...
In September I started school and got Kirby's 20th Anniversary Collection. I also continued my Let's Play which was on hiatus for the summer.
In October, a lot happened. At the beginning of the month, I finished my first walkthrough. After almost 2 years, it was finally complete. About a week later, I got Pokemon Black 2. As of know, I only have 2 badges. This is because of 2 things:
1. I play through Pokemon games slowly. I try to catch every Pokemon, get every item in sight, and talk to everyone. I basically do all there is to do. I also try to level up all my Pokemon as I go along, I don't just level up a small set of Pokemon and leave the others to catch dust in my PC.
2. I'm just plain busy. I have a thousand other games I want to complete, and I am loaded with work on my Youtube videos and with school.
Now here is the main topic of this post: Hurricane Sandy.
I live in Pennsylvania, and here, water wasn't a problem. Wind was. LOTS of trees were knocked down, knocking down power lines and leaving thousands without power. (One also crushed my above-ground pool...) I lost power Monday night-Tuesday night. It was only 24 hours, but it was a living hell. It's hard to have your mom, dad, and two brothers all huddles in the house with you with no electricity, and having to use goddamn flashlights to get around at night. It wasn't fun. I wanted to cry when I heard some people had no power on Wednesday and some on part of Thursday as well. How did they survive? (The only thing that kept me alive was the generator, but we couldn't use it during the whole storm).
Well, after getting my power back on Tuesday night, I jumped and screamed in joy. I went to my laptop to update my Youtube and Facebook to say that my power was back. But wait, the internet wasn't working! Neither was the TV or house phone! I figured it would work tomorrow morning, so I just went to bed.
The next day, Wednesday, it STILL wasn't working! My dad tried to fix it all day, but we had no luck. We got internet, TV, and phone working temporarily at times, but it wouldn't stay working. I was pissed...
I woke up on Thursday, today, and it still wasn't working! I went to school, (I was off Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday), and came home later. Luckily, my dad had called the Verizon dude over to come and fix it. So everything now worked again. We had finally recovered from Sandy... We could have been hit worse I guess, so I guess I got lucky... Hopefully I don't have to deal with another hurricane for a LONG time!
Now to talk about my channel. The hurricane obviously delayed things, but I plan to work hard this weekend and try to get a lot of videos and schoolwork done. I played plenty of video games during the week, so I will try my best not to play any this weekend unless it's for a walkthrough or Let's Play. Here is what I plan to upload in the next week or so.
TNU Eliminations 43-45. (I hope to get this up on Friday or Saturday).
Tingle Tribute (Yes, the green idiot from Zelda is getting a tribute. I hope I can upload this anywhere from Sunday-Thursday).
New Super Mario Bros Wii Walkthrough Part 13 (Hopefully Sunday or Monday.)
Ocarina of Time Walkthrough Part 12 (Hopefully Wednesday-next Friday)
I probably won't be able to follow this exactly, but I'll try my best to. I also plan to upload a Blue Coin Guide for Super Mario Sunshine soon, upload the next part of LP Kirby's Epic Yarn eventually, and continue my Mario Sports Mix Online Matches videos, if I can still play anyone on there,
That's all I can think of for updates right now. If I think of anything else, I'll post it. That's it for now. I hope Thanksgiving is better than this Halloween was...
